New CODEF Music Players!
Over the last few months chipmusic fan and coding legend, Juergen Wothke has found and released two new music players which share his ScriptNodePlayer platform.
As always, I have released a slimmed-down CODEF version of each for your enjoyment!
First we have the webPiECE, which is a JavaScript/HTML5 based player for 'P/ECE music driver' music files. The 'P/ECE' handheld game console was created by Aquaplus in 1994.
You can find the webPiECE player at the link below, with a sample tune so you can hear it in action!

Next up, we have the webOPNA player. The Yamaha OPNA (YM2608) sound chip was released in 1985. It is an upgraded version of the OPN (YM2203) chip that had been released one year earlier (used in Arcade games and the PC-88 line of home computers).
The OPNA chip is known for its use in the PC-98 line of home computers that were exclusively sold and popular in Japan. Juergen has used "OPNA" as the player title as a kind of placeholder for similar "stuff" that was popular in Japan but largely unknown in the rest of the world: Another Japan-only phenomenon was Sharp's X68000 home computer and though it used a different soundchip (YM2151 aka OPM) this player here also covers that system.
